Preparing with Prayer

The Mission Front | Prep & Prayer Week

This year, we launched our first Prep & Prayer missional training, a week-long experience designed to prepare our students spiritually and practically for a year of serving, praying, and living missionally.

On our first day, we covered the basics of what The Mission Front is all about and explored the essentials of prayer — not only for our own lives, but also for our school, our community, and the nations. Students were challenged to consider the importance of prayer and God’s Word in everything we do.

Throughout the week, we learned about servant leadership through our Student Ambassador initiative, explored our various outreach opportunities and why they matter, and prepared for our first in-house service event, Mission Movie Night.

On Friday night, we wrapped up Prep & Prayer with a fun and relaxed evening of fellowship centered around missions and service — with plenty of fresh popcorn, tasty treats, and hot food provided by our TMF students and staff, along with some extra help from our wonderful Capstone parents who stepped in to serve as well.

Having our students — and even some of our parents — join us in learning what it looks like to pray boldly, serve humbly, and share Jesus is at the heart of The Mission Front. Prep & Prayer gave our students a first-hand experience of what lies ahead and a glimpse of what it means to live missionally together as a community.

Message from Braulio

Grace and peace,

We started off our TMF school year on such a high note! With Prep & Prayer, our students had the opportunity to learn not just what TMF is all about but, more importantly, how important prayer is in all that we do and who we are as disciples of Christ. It’s so incredible to see some of our youngest students showing such joy in wanting to pray and serve. Not only that, but seeing our older students’ desire to help and learn really blessed our time together. This is what TMF is all about — connecting our students to the purposes of God found in His Word. Let’s continue to pray over and for our students together, trusting our God to do remarkable things for His glory and their good!

United in Christ — Braulio Lopez, TMF Outreach Coordinator
