PRE-KINDERGARTEN
What's Special About
Pre-K at Capstone Christian Academy?
In prekindergarten at Capstone students enjoy all the joys of preschool combined with making huge milestones in academic subjects. Our Las Vegas private Pre-K students know their letters and sounds, begin to form reading skills, can count to 100, and learn to write using proper grip and posture. Learning is still child centered and play-based, so in the classroom they get to imitate the environments learned in the home and real work environments as students “pretend” to be a wide array of professions in their learning centers. The students in Capstone’s Pre-K reverberate the halls with their songs, chants, and laughter.

The Pre-K Learning Experience
Pre-kindergarten is an exciting time for children and parents alike. Students are starting to draw the connections between letters and words, and are gaining confidence writing and sounding out different things. Dedicated to supporting every child in the exciting time, our preschool teachers meet each child where they are in this learning process and support them individually in overcoming learning hurdles.
Of course, there’s plenty of time for play in pre-kindergarten. Play is an opportunity to learn an environment children thrive in: imagination. Math becomes herding sheep in the meadow. Science becomes baking cookies for Grandma. Gross motor skills become playing soccer with friends, and small motor skills become drawing a treasure map. With educational goals guiding from the background, we make learning through play a fun and rewarding experience. Your kids will be telling you all about it!
