Summer 2026 at Capstone: An Award-Winning Christian Summer Program for Kids Ages 5–8

Summer should be more than just time off. For kids ages 5 through 8, those eight weeks between school years are some of the most formative of the whole year — and how they spend them matters. At Capstone Christian Academy, we built our 2026 Summer Program around a simple idea: children thrive when learning, play, movement, and faith all happen in the same place, with adults who genuinely love what they do.

We're honored that the Las Vegas Review-Journal named us a Silver Award winner for Best Summer Program in 2025 — a recognition that reflects the effort our team puts into making summer count for every child who walks through our doors.

What Makes Capstone's Summer Program Different

A lot of summer camps in Las Vegas fall into one of two buckets: all play, or all academics. We don't think kids should have to choose. Our program is built around weekly themes that pull together four intentional pillars — so every week feels fresh, and every child leaves with something more than a suntan.

Activities That Actually Engage

Kids ages 5 to 8 are wired to ask why and how about everything. We lean into that. Each themed week includes hands-on activities designed around the week's big idea — experiments, building challenges, and discovery projects that turn curiosity into confidence. No worksheets. No screens as babysitters. Real materials, real problems, real wonder.

Art That Builds Imagination

Summer is the season for messy hands and bold ideas. Our art activities give kids the space to create without the pressure of a grade — painting, crafting, making, and sharing. For many of our families, this is where their child's creative spark really shows up.

PE That Gets Kids Moving

Eight hours is a long day for a five-year-old, and we know it. That's why physical activity is woven throughout the day, not tacked on. Games, outdoor play, group challenges — movement keeps kids engaged, healthy, and ready for what comes next. In the Las Vegas summer heat, we're intentional about indoor-outdoor balance and hydration.

Chapel That Forms Hearts

This is the part that sets Capstone apart from a typical summer camp, and it's the part we care most about. Each week includes age-appropriate Chapel time where kids hear stories from Scripture, sing, pray, and begin to understand who God is and how much He loves them. Whether your family is deeply rooted in faith or just curious, Chapel at Capstone is warm, welcoming, and never pressured. The most important word in "Private Christian School" is Christian — and that's true for our summer program too.

Themed Weeks: Why Variety Keeps Kids Coming Back

Every week of our summer program is built around a different theme, so even kids who attend the full eight weeks experience something new every Monday. Themes rotate through topics like adventure, creation, nature, explorers, and more — each one shaping the experiments, art projects, PE games, and Chapel stories for that week.

For parents, this means your child isn't just "at camp." They're building a summer full of varied memories, skills, and friendships. For kids, it means Monday morning is something to look forward to.

Who This Program Is Built For

Our summer program serves families across Southeast Las Vegas and the surrounding communities — Seven Hills, Southern Highlands, Anthem, Inspirada, Silverado Ranch, and Henderson. Many of our summer families are currently exploring Capstone as a potential fit for the school year ahead, and summer is a low-pressure way to experience who we are before enrolling.

You don't need to be a Capstone student to attend. You don't need to be a member of a particular church. You just need a child between the ages of 5 and 8 who's ready for a summer that's a little more intentional than most.

Pricing That Works for Real Families

We've kept our pricing simple and competitive for the Las Vegas market:

- $300 per week, or

- $1,000 per month (saves $200 over weekly pricing for families attending the full month)

Lunch and snacks are included every day — one less thing to pack, one less thing to worry about. We also offer sibling discounts for families enrolling more than one child, and a referral program for families who bring a friend.

Spots Fill Quickly — Here's How to Reserve Yours

Our 2025 summer program filled before the end of May, and 2026 is tracking the same way. If you're considering Capstone for your child this summer, now is the right time to reserve a spot.
