For the past several months, our fabulous Las Vegas Christian Academy team has been working diligently to open Capstone's early education program in the previous Kids R Kids facility on Serene Avenue.
During the process of purchasing the Serene campus, we got to know to Thompsons, the previous owners of Kids R Kids, and we were delighted to learn they too shared our passion for world changing education. They were excited to learn the legacy they were leaving after 20 years with Kids R Kids would be carried on by our Las Vegas Christian Academy.
Below is a private school testimonial they gave us to pass along to some of their former school families.
Dear Kids R Kids Families,
Over the last 20 years Debbie and I have always thought about our school, our staff, parents, and children as being part of one big family.
We are grateful for your perseverance during this COVID pandemic, with our need to close and reopen and close again. These past several months have tested all of us in different ways. We appreciate hearing from many of you during the initial shutdown and throughout the past months on our progress, as we had anticipated reopening in January 2021.
As life would have it during the year 2020, many of us have had to learn the importance of being flexible. For our Kids R Kids Learning Academy that flexibility led use to think about other options in 2021, and we wanted to share this with you.
In September, we were approached by Bill and Laura Wadley about selling our campus to them to start their dream of a private Christian school district here it the Las Vegas valley. They are the Founders of Capstone Christian Academy, which currently owns a 25-acre piece of land on Cactus Avenue and will be breaking ground on an upper school campus soon. Their dream has always been to start in the lower grades and then grow and move up with their students through high school. Their mission is to Develop World Changing Leaders by teaching leadership, nurturing faith, and striving to provide the most excellent education in our State.
Debbie and I are hopeful that you will continue your child’s preschool and elementary education on the Serene campus and join with the Capstone team in education your students. Some things will change, but their heart for children and dedication to your family will be familiar. We feel so fortunate that the legacy of our work for 20 years will continue to impact young students and their families into the future.
We are excited for this transition and are looking forward to being part of the Capstone story.
